New Blog for a New Year

The inaugural blog post comes a little later than I had  planned, but it is finally here. Sharon and I had a a fairly uneventful first New Years Eve in San Diego. We watched the ball drop twice while eating half-way decent Chinese from the place around the corner. New years Day was much more eventful. Sharon had suggested we hike around Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. I agreed with camera in tow. It was a beautiful sunny day and it seems everyone else in San Diego had the same idea. We look forward to going back on a day with less people around.

I normally don’t take many landscape and nature photos, but its hard not to with such picturesque surroundings.

The little girl with the panda hat was adorable. She was trailing behind her parents a bit and I originally thought a photo of her walking away from the camera with the hat in hand would have been cute. As soon as I crouched down to take the photo she turned and reached the hat out to me. The last photo on the beach was an accidental shot that turned out pretty nice. It has a dream like quality to it with all of the sea mist in the background.

We plan to go a bit further up the coast to do more exploring in the next few weeks. I promise to update the blog on a regular basis. Keep an eye out for more posts and photos.

Cheers.
